Cell depth, width, wall and screen
Every scope in the range is built around the measurements that actually govern print quality on a ceramic anilox cylinder.
- Cell depth — by differential focus, using a 1µm resolution digital indicator
- Cell width — measured directly from the captured image
- Cell wall thickness — the wall between adjacent cells
- Screen count — calculated automatically in both LPI and lines per cm
- Ink residue and plugging — spotted during routine inspection
- Cell wall and screen issues — checked before they reach the print
Inspect in place
No need to pull the cylinder
A magnetic base lets cylinders be inspected at 90°, which means the cylinder does not have to come out of the press to be checked. Bodies are manufactured in hardened plastic to keep the weight down and limit the risk of damage to the cylinder itself.
Objectives from X3 to X40 are available across the range, with an eyepiece graticule for cell count as standard.
Capture and share
Take the image off the press
Add a smartphone adapter or a CCD camera and the scope becomes a capture tool — images can be shared for further analysis, or measured in WebTech's Cellstore software.
Measurements and images can be stored together, giving in-house control of a whole ceramic cylinder inventory.
